Terms and Conditions - Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria - Plateau State Chapter
1. Membership Eligibility and Application: 1.1. Membership in the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN) Plateau State Chapter is open to licensed pharmacists, pharmaceutical technologists, and pharmacy students who meet the eligibility criteria set forth by the PSN.
1.2. Applicants for membership must submit a completed application form, along with any required documentation and membership fees, for review and approval by the PSN Plateau State Chapter.
1.3. The PSN Plateau State Chapter reserves the right to approve or deny membership applications based on compliance with eligibility criteria and capacity limitations.
2. Code of Professional Conduct: 2.1. All members are required to adhere to the PSN’s Code of Professional Conduct, which outlines the ethical standards and responsibilities of pharmacy professionals in Plateau State.
2.2. Members must maintain professional integrity, patient confidentiality, and respect for fellow professionals and patients at all times.
2.3. Members should promote evidence-based practices, provide quality pharmaceutical care, and work towards enhancing the image and reputation of the pharmacy profession.
2.4. Any breach of the Code of Professional Conduct may result in disciplinary actions, including suspension or termination of membership, as determined by the PSN Plateau State Chapter.
3. Membership Dues and Fees: 3.1. Members are responsible for paying annual membership dues and any other fees established by the PSN Plateau State Chapter.
3.2. Membership dues must be paid by the specified due date to maintain active membership status and access the benefits offered by the PSN Plateau State Chapter.
4. Meetings and Events: 4.1. Members are encouraged to attend and actively participate in meetings, seminars, workshops, conferences, and other events organized by the PSN Plateau State Chapter.
4.2. The PSN Plateau State Chapter may organize Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programs to support members in meeting their professional development requirements.
4.3. Non-attendance or non-participation in scheduled events may impact members’ eligibility for certain benefits or recognition.
5. Intellectual Property and Confidentiality: 5.1. Any intellectual property, including documents, presentations, research, or other materials, developed or shared during PSN Plateau State Chapter activities, shall remain the property of its respective creators.
5.2. Members must respect copyright and intellectual property rights and obtain appropriate permissions for any use, distribution, or reproduction of such materials outside of PSN events.
5.3. Members are expected to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information shared within the PSN Plateau State Chapter and refrain from disclosing such information to external parties without proper authorization.
6. Collaboration and Professional Courtesy: 6.1. Members are encouraged to collaborate and cooperate with each other in a spirit of professionalism, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment within the organization.
6.2. Members should treat each other with respect and avoid engaging in any behavior that could harm the reputation or well-being of fellow members or the pharmacy profession as a whole.
7. Disciplinary Measures: 7.1. The PSN Plateau State Chapter reserves the right to initiate disciplinary proceedings against members who violate the terms and conditions or the Code of Professional Conduct.
7.2. Disciplinary actions may include warnings, fines, suspension, or termination of membership, depending on the severity of the violation and at the discretion of the PSN Plateau State Chapter.
8. Amendments to the Terms and Conditions: 8.1. These terms and conditions may be updated, amended, or modified by the PSN Plateau State Chapter as necessary.
8.2. Members will be notified of any changes to the terms and conditions, and such changes shall become effective on the specified date.
9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction: 9.1. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Plateau State and Nigeria.
9.2. Any disputes arising from these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Plateau State.
